A rare and immersive journey designed for returning or first-time premium travelers who want to explore Bhutan beyond the classic western circuit. This expedition begins in Paro for arrival and acclimatization, then takes a scenic domestic flight into Eastern Bhutan—the least explored and most culturally preserved region of the country.
From the ancient fortress town of Trashigang to the royal ancestral valley of Lhuentse and the craft-rich region of Tashiyangtse, this journey reveals Bhutan’s deep cultural roots, textile traditions and Himalayan village life untouched by modern tourism.
The route follows historic trade and pilgrimage corridors blessed by Guru Rinpoche, who is believed to have sanctified many eastern valleys during his spiritual journey across the Himalayas.
